茂木先生、先生の頭脳はもちろん、ヘアスタイルも含めての大ファンです。（笑）
このBlogには、「星の友情」という言葉をさがしていてめぐり合いました。まどかさんの俳句だよりの愛読者でもあり、「チケットの行く先違う夜長かな」の解説に「ニーチェの星の友情」という言葉があり、くわしく知りたいとさがしていたのです。茂木先生がまどかさんの句会に参加されていると知り、嬉しくなってしまいました。
以来、ずっと愛読させていただいております。

そして今日また、私が今までに３度も読み返し、ついにヒースの丘を求めて、ハワースまで出かけた小説「Wuthering Heighs」について書かれておられたので、すっかり興奮してついにコメントを入れさせていただきました。
英語版は私には辞書が必要ですが、それでも先生の子供時代の心の遍歴など、興味津々で夢中になって読ませていただいております。

今日もバリバリお元気に活動されてるのでしょうか～

「嵐が丘」いいですよね♪
荒涼としたうす暗い荒野に風がごうごうと吹いていて、その荒野をキャサリンの「魂」を求めて独りさまようヒースクリフの姿には、心惹かれてしまいます。

ヒースクリフって野生の狼みたいですよね？黒い炎が人間になったかのような。キャサリンのお墓とか、あばいちゃうし！
（そゆえばヒースクリフも俺様道まっしぐらですね(笑)）

映画では坂本龍一さんが音楽を担当した「嵐が丘」が原作のimageそのままで素晴らしかったです！
たしかラルフ・ファインズがヒースクリフ役で、ジュリエット・ビノシュがキャサリン役だったかな。二人ともピッタリはまりすぎで、本当に素晴らしい映画でした。

また見たくなりました～（坂本龍一さんの音楽も良かったです！）

茂木先生は十代で英文で読破されてたんですね
さすがです(笑)

そゆえば私も嵐が丘は高１の時の女友達に「読んで読んで読んで！」と会う度せがまれて？読んだのでした(笑)
確かに誰かと共有したくなる世界ですよね。
懐かしいです

" Wuthering Heights " is an extraordinary novel
that shows me the utmost passion.
Beyond good and evil, I was likely to be choked
with the continuous infusion of passion.

It extended my understanding how human passion
is bent, boosted and vented on others.
It could be undergone with my feeling
as if it were my own affair.
Powerful literature often becomes
a hot iron for me in this way.

茂木先生こんにちわ

The Wuthering Heights was
‥ which I regarded as an ideal in the days of the teens is slightly dangerous. I looked back, and it was just ‥ my best love image.

I have a feeling that a feeling of my present love has been completed under the influence of that book.

Now that I became an adult than that time,
If they are impossible first of all in Japan, and ‥ is near if such love is approximately impossible, I feel it, but after all the love that it is firm mentally, and was bound together and the saying thing are attractive.

When such love is not at least at all like U.S.A. if like the U.K., I feel it.

My woman musician favorite, to love and respect sings the song of the charge account title. K.BUSH
